Spaghetti Sauce
Like the Colander type from Trail B.C. An absolute favorite!
Start this sauce in the morning and combine in blender .
- ½ cup celery
- 1 large onion
- 1 large can tomato or V8 juice [48 ounce]
- 1 large jar homemade canned tomatoes or a large canned container
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 bay leaf
Add meatballs [recipe below] and simmer a few hours until sauce is thick.
Meatballs
- 1 ½ lb each ground beef and pork
- 2 eggs
- 1 tblsp. Parsley
- ½ tsp salt
- dash garlic
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- dash pepper
- dash basil
Form into balls and place in sauce. Simmer 3 or more hours.
